FAQs

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

Yes! Just let us know or make sure to RSVP them so we have enough food for everyone!

Question

Will there be a dollar dance?

Answer

YES! This gives the bride and groom a great excuse to spend some one on one time with people! Shelby and Garrett hope you will dance with them! Plus this gives them some extra honeymoon cash!

Question

How far is the reception from the ceremony location?

Answer

Not far! They are only about 5 miles from each other. The reception location will be open at 5:15 so guest should be able to go directly to the reception. Drinks and light snacks will be served while waiting on the Bride and Groom to arrive.

Question

Will there be food?

Answer

YES! We are really excited to have Summit Hickory Pit Bar-B-Q catering the event. There will be 3 choices of meats - brisket, sliced sausage and ham in addition to potato salad, rolls and baked beans. And of course there will be cake!

Question

Will there be alcohol? Can we bring our own?

Answer

Yes - We are really excited to have Embrace the Grape providing FREE beer, wine, soda and water for our our guest. But NO - you can't bring in your own. Sorry - it is not allowed so we appreciate you honoring this rule. We want everyone to have fun but be safe. If you do plan to drink, please designate a safe driver. Uber does serve this area as well.

Question

Will there be dancing?

Answer

YES! We are excited to have DJ Connections that will help lead us through the reception events that will include dancing!

Question

Will there be assigned seating at the reception?

Answer

No - There may be a few tables reserved for the wedding party and family but that is it. We hope you spend more time mingling and dancing than sitting!

Question

How formal should I dress?

Answer

It is a wedding but that said...this will not be that formal of an event so use your best judgement. There is no official dress code and there will not be any "dress police" there so wear what you are comfortable wearing. We are serving Bar-b-q at the reception so you may want to keep that in mind! And you'll want shoes comfortable enough for dancing.
