We met freshman year while both attending West Virginia University. Not only did we attend the same school, but we lived in the same dorm, on the same floor. Even from opposite ends of the hall we managed to become friends. Our friendship grew as we attended football games, basketball games, concerts, and more together. We thank god for those country roads because they brought us home to each other.

Eric proposed while we were getting ready to watch the sunset on Manhattan Beach in southern California. Eric asked a random stranger, wearing a purple NYU t-shirt, to take a picture using his phone. While asking the stranger he said "I have a ring in my pocket and i'm going to propose, do you mind taking our picture?". Eric got down on one knee and asked me to marry him during what I though was just a typical beach sunset photo. The incredible stranger just so happened to have his professional camera and captured the entire proposal.
