We first met at Lutheran High School Westland, during my freshman year and his sophomore year. I was waiting in the lunch line when he walked up to me. He started to tease me and tried to take my lunch money. Once he was happy with my annoyance towards him, he walked away laughing. That was our first encounter, but it was not the last. After his sophomore year, he left Lutheran High. He then friend requested me on FaceBook and sent me a message. We continued to talk throughout the next few years here and there. In 2016, I was at the gym and I thought I recognized him from across the room. Meanwhile, he was with his cousin and noticed me when I walked in. He told his cousin that he thought I was really cute and kept eyeing me in between sets. I decided to text him to see if it was actually him. He texted me back saying it was him, and we never stopped talking after that. We started officially dating in 2017, and the rest is history...
I spent the whole day with Colin and his family on the 1st. At the end of the day, Colin drove me back to my house. We both got out of the truck, and it was very cold and sleeting outside. While I was standing there waiting for him to come around to my side of the truck, I could not help but think what was taking him so long to walk over to me. After a minute, he walked over to me and wrapped me up in a hug. He told me that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. He then dropped to one knee and asked, "Will you marry me?" With tears in my eyes I said, "YES!" and we were engaged! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you! See you at the wedding!
