Our story began in the most modern of ways — on Hinge — but from the very first conversation, it felt like fate. We instantly clicked, bonding over our mutual love for small, white dogs and a shared loyalty to Ohio sports (OH-IO!!). On June 20th, 2020, Colden asked Shelby out on a date to The Flats. What was meant to be a simple outing turned into a full day of laughter, stories, and a connection that neither of us saw coming — but both instantly felt. From that day on, everything just made sense. As our love grew, so did our adventures. In June of 2023, we took our next step and moved into our first apartment together in Westlake, turning a space into a home filled with cozy nights, SO many pictures of our dogs, and lots of football Saturdays/Sundays with our friends. Then, on April 18th, 2025, Colden popped the question in the most perfect way — at the Cleveland Museum of Art, surrounded by blooming cherry blossoms. It was a full-circle moment, a beautiful ode to a day we’d spent together early in our relationship, wandering that same area, dreaming about the future we’re now living. This is just the beginning of our forever, and we can’t wait to see where life takes us next — hand in hand, hearts full, and surrounded by all of you!!
