Shelby and Cameron’s story began years before either of them realized it was the start of something extraordinary. As kids — about 8 and 12 — they met through family friends and growing up in the same neighborhood. They didn’t spend much time together, but they crossed paths often enough to leave an impression (Shelby may or may not have had a secret crush). Life took them in different directions, but fate had other plans. Many years later, Cameron began working at the same apartment complex where Shelby was employed. What started as friendly hellos quickly grew into something more, and within months, they knew they had found something rare. It wasn’t just timing — it was meant to be.
