2020 was the worst year, and while we were sad to postpone our big wedding, we knew that it was the right thing to do to keep the people we love safe and not put anyone in a situation where they had to make hard decisions about celebrating with us. On our original wedding date, we exchanged rings and became legally married with a micro-marriage ceremony with immediate family. We saved the big stuff (our personalized vows, the big dress, first dance, cutting the cake...a lot of good stuff!) to celebrate with everyone once things are safer. Luckily, we managed to postpone everything to exactly one year from that initial day!
