Disney World has been my favorite place on earth since I first visited at the age of 4. It has served as an escape from reality for my family and I year after year and since I can remember, I have always dreamed of getting proposed to at Disney. This is something Brendan learned very early on in our relationship ;) We had gone to Disney World every year we had been together and we were planning our 2019 trip. I was flying down to Orlando for a work conference, and he would fly into meet me when the conference ended. We had planned every detail - where are our dinners would be, which parks we would be going to, which rides we were going to sprint to when the park opened and more. On our first day, we packed up our things, I put on my Minnie ears, and we headed for Magic Kingdom. This is my favorite Disney park, and one we had not visited yet together. Brendan told me we would be leaving around 6, which I was a bit confused by but I didn't ask questions. After a perfect day in the park, we headed for the park exit and Brendan led us over to the monorail but wouldn't tell me where we were going. We jumped on the monorail, and got off at the first stop - Disney's Contemporary Resort. I was getting more anxious and Brendan clearly was as well.. He told me to wait in the gift shop and said he'd be back in 15 minutes. I patiently (and nervously) waited for his return. When he arrived again, he led me to an elevator which we took to the top floor of the resort. The doors opened to Disney's California Grill - a restaurant with glass walls which allows for the best views of Disney World. I was led through the restaurant, over to two large glass doors. As the doors opened, magical music started playing and Brendan led me down a walkway which overlooked Disney's lakes and the Magic Kingdom. He got down on one knee, and asked for my hand in marriage. Without hesitation, I said YES!! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in ITALY!
