It all started with a basketball game and a well-timed Instagram post. Bobby played for Clarksville, Shelby cheered for Morrilton, and thanks to our mutual friend Cassidy (now one of Shelby’s bridesmaids), our paths finally crossed senior year. After Bobby’s senior night game, he posted a picture of himself playing—completely unaware that Shelby was in the background, mid-cheer. She saw it, took it as a sign (or just a good excuse), and shot her shot. Clearly, it worked. From there, things escalated quickly. We went to prom together—Bobby’s first and only prom—then somehow ended up on the same senior trip. One minute, we were just two high school kids, and the next, we were navigating adulthood together. Six years later, we’re living on the ranch, knee-deep in animals, and still wondering how we got here. A lot has changed since high school, but one thing hasn’t—we’re still each other’s best decision. (Well, besides the dogs.)
