Shelby and Bailey initially met at a slosh ball game in 2015 while in college at Texas A&M University. Nothing came of their initial encounter, but a year or so later, they ran into each other at a bar in College Station where they exchanged snapchats; however, once again, Bailey got nervous and didn’t make a move. Fast forward to November 2018, Shelby sent a harmless selfie on the way to work and Bailey was hooked! He replied to that snap asking if she would like to attend a wedding with him that weekend. Shelby declined, thinking she had to keep him on his toes, but agreed to go to his company Christmas party the following weekend. Although she was worried this might be a strange place for a first date, they hit it off and have been together ever since! After a nearly six-year long-distance relationship, Shelby and Bailey can't wait to start their life together and look forward to celebrating their big day with all of you!

In true fashion, Bailey took his sweet time waiting for the perfect moment to propose. The couple had booked a trip last August to beautiful Cabo San Lucas, Mexico to celebrate both of their 30th birthdays. Bailey had planned a special dinner on the night of Shelby's birthday and after ordering their food, he suggested they walk around and check out the sights. But, in true Shelby fashion, she was worried about leaving their table before the food arrived. She eventually agreed, but didn't want to stray far. Little did she know, Bailey had arranged for someone to take photos of the proposal he had planned down on the beach. Of course, Shelby insisted on going to the overlook instead (which was closer) so he popped the big question there, which luckily still had the most amazing views of the ocean behind them!
