As much as we love children, this is an outdoor event with a large river running through the property. For safety reasons, we ask that you leave children at home for this event. Thank you for your understanding.
Welcome Party- The welcome party is "casual dinner attire." Meaning, dress nicely but comfortably, like you're going on a first date! Please wear "Something Blue." This can be a blue dress, shorts, shirt, or even shoes. If you don't want to wear all blue, please wear something with a splash of blue! Ceremony/Reception - The dress code for the ceremony and reception is "semi formal." This means men should be in collared shirts with a suit jacket. Women should be in dresses (long or short) or a formal jumpsuit/pantsuit.
Planet Bluegrass is almost completely covered in grass. We suggest leaving stilettos at home, but all other shoes should be fine!
October in Colorado can be warm during the day but gets pretty chilly at night. Especially near the mountains. Expect a high of 62 degrees and a low of 30 degrees.
Ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner will be outside depending on weather. Reception will be located in the pull barn, but will still feel like outside so dress accordingly!
Both Lyons and Boulder have a huge Air BnB and VRBO presence. You can also look for places in Gunbarrel or Broomfield if you are looking to stay further out from Boulder.
Shuttle - The day of the wedding, Friday October 4th, there will be two shuttles leaving from the Boulderado and Residence Inn to bring guests to and from Planet Bluegrass. The shuttles will be picking guests up at 2:30pm from both the Boulderado and Residence Inn to bring guests to the ceremony. This will be about a 20 minute drive. After the reception is over, the shuttles will drive guests back to Boulder at 10pm, dropping guests off at the Boulderado and Residence Inn. Once again, the drive back to Boulder will be around a 20 minute drive. Parking - You can drive and park your car at Planet Bluegrass if you do not want to take the shuttle. Cars can be left there over night, but must be picked up first thing in the morning on 10/5. Parking is first come first serve!
