Beaches
Encinitas, Carlsbad, and or Oceanside beaches are under 20 miles from San Marcos. Hit the surf, catch some sun, or go for a leisurely beach-walk! La Jolla Cove is about 30 miles from San Marcos, but is worth the commute if you want to see seals, crystal blue water, or kayak through sea caves.

See acres on acres of beautiful flower fields! Only in season during the spring, and is perfect for that color-pop Instagram pic!
Breweries
San Diego and San Marcos is every beer-lover's heaven. There's countless breweries, but here are a few local ones to our venue we highly recommend: Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens - Escondido, Wild Barrel Brewing Company, Blue Fire Brewing, Rip Current Brewing, and Port Brewing Company.
Wine Tasting in Temecula
A quick 30-minute drive from San Marcos to Temecula will make you feel like you've been transported to the Italian Countryside! Experience some of California's best wineries, hop on a wine trolley tour, or float up off the ground in a hot air balloon when that liquid courage hits.
Cubs vs Padres
The Cubs are coincidentally playing the Padres at Petco Park just a few days after our wedding! The three-game series starts on Monday, April 8th.
