5pm! Ceremony will start at 5:15 NOTE: Due to another event close by, parking will be difficult and there might be heavier traffic. Allow extra time and consider taking a cab, Lyft or Uber to the venue.
Yes! If it works best for your family to have your kiddos with you, then bring them! But you should know that the venues are not toddler-proof (e.g., there will be a fire pit at the wedding) and there is not child-specific food, areas, or entertainment.
When you RSVP for the weekend's events, we ask you to share dietary restrictions so we can plan for it. Please don't hesitate to tell us! If our vendors can't accommodate your need, we will be able to let you know well in advance.
October 5th!
No. We recommend taking a Lyft or Uber. NOTE: Due to another event close by, parking will be difficult and there might be heavier traffic. Allow extra time and consider taking a cab, Lyft or Uber to the venue.
FANCY-FUN for the ceremony and reception on Saturday night. Sequins are encouraged! However, the venue is outdoors and on grass, so we don't recommend high heels. It's going to be on the chillier side so you'll want to bring a warmer coat or sweater. CASUAL for the Welcome Party on Friday and the Farewell Brunch on Sunday.

The big hotels downtown (e.g., Ace Hotel) are great for a more glitzy stay, but you'll pay for it! You may want to consider smaller bed and breakfasts in the Lower Garden District (many of which are walking distance to Paradigm Gardens) which have a lot of character and are reasonably priced. If you decide to go the Airbnb route, consider finding a place that's licensed by the City of New Orleans, which has very strict Airbnb laws. If you'd like to split an Airbnb with some other folks or are looking for weekend roommates, let us know and we will try to connect you with other guests that could be a good match!

Allie Hasson, my best friend from college, designed, printed, and hand-lettered those invitations and info cards. You have her to thank for the warm fuzzy feeling you had when you looked in your mailbox. She is a professional stationer, artist, and designer in Chicago. You can find her work and link to her online shop at www.alliehasson.com
We are lucky to know Kate Thompson - a friend of Shelby's from growing up in Roanoke and a very talented/in demand photographer based in Richmond. She shoots (a few) weddings and families and does editorial and design work for clients all over the world. You can find out more about her, her style, and what she may be able offer you at her website, www.bettyclicker.com
