"About our story... Hmm. He was a hot-headed maniac with a cart at the Palm Coast Facility and I was just an innocent bystander." Shelbi says as she looks over at Michael. He quickly interrupts her, pouting, "Oye! No that is not what happened!" "Yeah, it is. The man was out for blood. I wasn't sure what to do!" She teases. Michael catches on and scrunches up his face. "Alright fine, now that you've got that out of your system, this is how the story actually goes," Michael says with a sigh. "You're right, so the real story is that we met at the Palm Coast Educational Facility while working in food service. We didn't really talk much at first. I was always focused on getting my work done correctly and efficiently." Shelbi explains. "I can usually make friends with pretty much anybody fairly easily, and I know how to bring a smile to just about everyone's face, but Shelbi was different. I never paid attention until I realized what her smile actually looked like. From then on it became a personal mission of mine to make her smile as much as everyone else did. Little did I know that in the process, she would become the first person to get me to dance... willingly. Against my natural survival instinct. Then after a dance by a bonfire, something grew inside." reminisces Michael. "Ah, yes. Got him with my smile. But leading up to that point, little by little we began talking in the kitchen and going out in service together. Every month we were doing something together. I knew Michael was a very kind person who looked out for others, someone who got along with everyone and didn't let anyone bring him down. Over time the spiritual gems that he'd share became something that I would look forward to on days that we were scheduled to work together. That's how we officially met. Then cue the fireworks" Shelbi finishes, making explosion gestures with her hands.
