Cedric and I first met at Polytechnic High School in 1988. I was a Freshman and he was a Junior. My first impression of him was not favorable. Fast forward 33 years later to 2021. Cedric slid into my Facebook Messenger to tell me that I had the most beautiful smile and he thought that I was pretty back in school. He gave me his number and asked me to call him. I said what is your real name again because I am not calling you no “C-baby”. I waited three weeks before I called. From that conversation we have talked every day. I am so glad I made that call. In that time we began to “brew” as he would say. We talked for hours learning about each other's likes, dislikes, laughing, joking about people and sometimes each other that lead to an unbreakable bond.
