Our relationship is unorthodox, to say the least! It started on Bumble—an online dating app where the woman starts the conversation and the other person has 24 hours to respond. Crazy, I know! We talked back and forth for a couple of weeks before Shekeriya decided she was tired of waiting for Goodluck to make the first move. We originally planned to go to brunch but changed it last minute to a coffee shop instead. We sat there for a couple of hours and realized we weren’t ready to leave each other. We ended up spending the whole day together, driving around Dallas. By the end of the day, we both knew we wanted to see each other again. From that next week on, we’ve had our ups and downs, whether it’s from cultural differences or deciding who’s going to wash the dishes, but we’ve worked through it all and fallen for each other more every day.
