Great question! We are expecting approximately 190 guests at our wedding. Both our ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors, but a majority of our reception will be held indoors. However, we do have a limited number of outdoor reception seating that you can request (via RSVP or by email at sheilaandwilltietheknot@gmail.com) to be at if you or someone in your party prefers to be seated outdoors. Hand sanitizer will also be in abundance. As we cannot control the personal decisions of each of our guests, our wedding will be mask-optional. For the sake of our friends who are immunocompromised, we do kindly encourage others to be vaccinated, get tested for COVID-19 prior to the wedding, and/or wear masks. We request that everyone respect our immunocompromised loved ones' boundaries.
This is a time to dress to the nines! So our dress code is, of course, black-tie optional. Tuxes and gowns are preferred, but not required. To prevent our lovely bride from turning into a bridezilla on our big day, we kindly ask all guests to please avoid wearing all white outfits.
Ideally, we would love to hear from you and your party by May 31st. However, due to the recent situation, invitations have been sent a little later than anticipated so we understand if the 31st is not possible. We kindly request to hear from you and your party by June 15th the latest.
Our ceremony will begin promptly at 5 PM. So make note! We are not running on Persian or poet time, friends! There will be limited seating room, so if you prefer to be seated, we strongly encourage you to plan accordingly. If you require seating due to a disability, please email us at sheilaandwilltietheknot@gmail.com and we will hold a spot for you.
The Ranch is nuzzled right off of the Pacific Coast Highway (31106 S. Coast Highway Laguna Beach, CA 92651 to be exact). It is tucked away in the mountainside rather than overlooking the ocean. So if you plug it into your favorite maps app, follow the directions, and enter Country Club Drive, for a second it may feel like you've taken a wrong detour. But if you continue to follow the narrow path, the road will open up to a gorgeous view and resort with valet service in tow. If you need some more support for your trek here, please visit the map section of The Ranch website located here (https://www.theranchlb.com/stay/map).
We ask that guests do not take pictures during the ceremony, to allow the professional photographers to get the best photos possible. Don't worry though! There will definitely be a moment dedicated to a photo op at some point in the ceremony. Please feel free to whip out your phone and cameras for the reception though! Be sure to post them anywhere on social media with our wedding hashtag #sheilagetsthewill so we can enjoy and revisit the memories in the coming years.
We love your kids but thought you might like a night off. So get a babysitter for the night and come party it up with us at our adults only celebration! If you do see a couple youngins the day of, please know they are only from the bride's immediate family and are there for moral support.
Yes!
The most important gifts for us have always been your love and support as well as your celebrations with us on our wedding day. However, if you wish to give a gift, we will gratefully accept a contribution towards building our shared life as newlyweds. Your gifts will help us furnish our future home, pay for gas on our future road trip adventures, cooking lessons that we desperately need (or a dinner out for two when we inevitably mess up our meal), and our future pet's food (they are already very grateful). We will have a box at our wedding for any physical contributions (cash, check, etc.). However, if you prefer the technology life, click the "Registry" link above for electronic contributions.
We love to hear it! Let's chat! You can email us at sheilaandwilltietheknot@gmail.com.
