The wedding is formal/black-tie optional. That means fancy dresses/gowns and suits The wedding will be both an indoor and outdoor event, weather permitting. Please check the Georgetown weather as we get closer to the wedding date. Texas weather changes quickly, so check before leaving so you can pack as you need. Feel free to bring a comfortable pair of dancing shoes for the post-dinner fun! Trust us when we say that it'll be quite the party on the dance floor!
We don't have a traditional registry. Sheila & Jarrod are blessed to have a beautiful home with their 3 pups. They do, however, hope to make some home improvements and hope that, should you feel so inclined, you might consider helping with that. They're vision is to expand their back porch to enjoy more Texas sunsets, playtime with the pups in the summer heat, and evening BBQs/morning coffees when it's finished. https://www.honeyfund.com/site/mehta-de-la-rosa-12-20-2025
Given how much Sheila loves to take selfies with her people (see Gallery page for reference), it might surprise you that this IS AN UNPLUGGED CEREMONY! We have hired a phenomenal photographer and plan to share photos with everyone when they're available. We ask that photos taken during the cocktail hour and reception be kept at a minimum and not posted online until the next day (Sunday). Thanks for understanding. And yes... Sheila did write this! Promise.
You do you, boo! While we have a reserved block at the Sheraton for our out of town guests, we realize you have plenty of options in the greater Austin area. If you are considering staying closer to downtown Austin, reach out to Sheila... she knows folks who can help you find a great room. But also, the Sheraton in Georgetown is really nice and you should totally consider staying there!
We love our silly time with the little ones in our lives, but due to safety concerns with the venue, we lovingly ask that you find a great sitter for the evening. You might see a couple little ones at the wedding; they are attached to the wedding party and traveling to Texas for wedding needs makes it difficult to be separated for the length of time needed. Thank you for understanding.
The best part of this wedding (other than us getting married) is the ability to see our family & friends all in one place. It's of great importance to us both that we get to see and spend time with each and every one of you. While that is ambitious and we might not get to meet our own goal, please know we have every intention of spending quality time with you. Though we'll be wildly busy preparing, please reach out if you're going to be in town early or stay later after the wedding; we'd love to meet up & catch up if we can!
Aren't you lucky that Sheila & Jarrod know you so well? We've taken into account the dietary needs and preferences of everyone -- at least the concerns we know about. No one should have a problem with the menu/food for the wedding. If you're concerned or your diet might not be known, reach out to Sheila or Jarrod to double check.
