In years past, Labor Day weekend has been ranging from high to low-80s in the afternoon and mid-70s to mid-60s later in the evening. If you don't plan on dancing, bring a light jacket for after the sun sets! Rain is unlikely, however, we will update you as the day gets closer. If the forecast shows rain, arrangements will be made to keep our guests dry.
At 5:30 pm chips and salsa will be available at each table. Dinner begins at 6:30 pm and will be served buffet-style. Chicken or shrimp fajitas will be the main entree and vegetarian fajitas available upon request. The chicken will be sourced from a local and reputable halal market. At 8 pm cake will be served to all guests!
Halal meat is prepared in accordance with Islamic dietary laws, as defined in the Koran. There is no difference in flavor, it is simply just meat prepared in a specific way and blessed during the butchering process.
A selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be served in separate areas at the reception. We understand that drinking alcohol is forbidden in Islam, so we ask those who plan on having alcoholic beverages to be respectful to those who will not.
There is not a strict dress code for our outdoor farm wedding, however, we do ask to dress nicely in semi-formal attire. If you choose to wear heels, make sure the heel is thick enough that it will not sink into the grass. Stilettos will not be a good fit for this occasion!
We kindly request an unplugged ceremony to allow everyone to be fully present and immersed in the experience. Our professional photographer will be capturing all the highlights, and we'll share the photos with you afterward. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in creating a distraction-free environment for our ceremony.
