Sean and Julia met shortly after they both moved to Philadelphia. They fell in love states and sometimes countries apart. After we first connected, Sean’s busy travel schedule was just picking up. Getting to know each other from afar helped us understand each other on a deeper level by sparking hours of phone calls and daily texts. We realized we had so much in common between family, sports, animals, food, and sunshine. Distance was somehow bringing us together and we both knew quickly that this was something special. On our first date at The Twisted Tail in Old City, Julia ordered a bourbon neat and Sean tried to impress Julia by ordering a manly-sounding cocktail which turned out to be a fruity martini and we laughed the rest of the night together. When Julia left that first date she knew she was going to spend the rest of her life with Sean. Julia also conveniently left her umbrella at the restaurant so Sean could return it to her. Which being the gentleman he is, he did. The rest is history.
We hope you are healthy and safe during this time, and appreciate all of the love and support we’ve received from each of you. Although the pandemic has created much uncertainty, there is no doubt that we want to spend the rest of our lives together. At this time, we will be proceeding with our wedding on October 1, 2021. We understand that the situation is in constant flux, but based on the current CDC guidelines and vaccination schedules, we feel that it will be much safer to gather and celebrate by fall. That said, we are unable to have everyone we love in attendance in effort to reduce capacity. We were faced with the very difficult decision of narrowing down our guest list and hosting an adult-only event. If you are not invited to in-person events initially, there is a possibility we may invite you later if capacity limit increases. For those who are considering joining us in person, we have selected a venue that (with good weather) has the ability to open the outside walls, allowing fresh air flow throughout the reception. The ceremony will be held outside with spacing between chairs. We hope this helps with your comfortability level to attend. We ask that you are understanding of our decisions and continue to support us. Wedding planning in a pandemic is certainly not an easy task, especially when it relates to the safety of our guests. Please feel free to reach out to us directly with any questions or concerns. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and we cannot wait to be together with you in person again come fall!
