How do I book my stay at Ananda Associazione?

You can email them at info@ananda.it or call them at +39 0742 813620. When you contact them, please mention that you are a guest at Thomas and Sheetal’s wedding. Here are the best times to reach them: Monday to Saturday – 11:00 to 13:00 and 15:30 to 17:00 Sunday – 10:00 to 11:00 and 15:30 to 17:00

I would like to get an invitation for my visa application to enter Italy?

Please let us know and we will arrange for an invitation for visa application.
Question
Is it ok if I arrive on Saturday or Sunday morning?
Answer
If you'd like to arrive on Saturday, we understand and that’s perfectly fine. Please let us know in advance so we can arrange to pick you up from the railway station. We would kindly suggest avoiding Sunday arrivals, as we’ll be busy with wedding preparations, and it will be difficult to arrange for pick-up on Sunday.

What is the weather at Assisi around mid of October?
Answer
The weather around the mid of October is going to be pleasant ranging from 10 degrees at night to around 20 degrees in the day. During the day, it will be mostly sunny, but be sure to carry a jacket in the evening.

What is the dress code?
Answer
Bear in mind that the wedding location is at a hilly place so expect to be walking on grass and small rocks, therefore, choose your footwear wisely! Dress up or keep it casual; tuxes & gowns are welcome, and so are sarees, kurtas, dresses, sandals, jeans, & t-shirts! Ladies: Feel free to wear a saree, cocktail dress, maxi dress, dressy jumpsuit, or anything elegant yet comfortable. Gents: A suit or jacket with slacks is great; a kurta, linen pants, button-down shirt, and sandals work too. Wear what makes you feel good and ready to celebrate!

What transportation will be provided?
Answer
We will provide the transportation to pick you up from the train stations (Assisi or Gualdo Tadino) on Friday and drop you back on Monday morning. The pick and drop will cost you around 30€ per ride per person. We will arrange for the transportation for a full day visit in Assisi for free on Saturday. We will make sure that there are plenty of cars available for all of us to have a beautiful day at Assisi.

Should I rent a car to travel around?
Answer
Renting a car is optional. It can be helpful if you plan to do some sightseeing before or after the wedding. You can rent a car near Assisi – either at the Assisi Airport (which is a taxi ride of 10-15 minutes from the train station) or at Gualdo Tadino near the railway station. You can also rent a car directly at the airport where you arrive. If you do decide to rent one, it's a good idea to book in advance to make sure it's available.

What if I want to gift something to the Bride & Groom?
Answer
We kindly ask for no material things, as we will be traveling with limited space in our suitcases. Your presence and blessings at our wedding is the most precious gift we can ask for.

Are there activities scheduled before the wedding?
Answer
Yes, there are some wonderful activities planned before and after the wedding, and we’d love for you to join! When you arrive on Friday, we’ll have a warm welcome with yoga & a guided meditation. We’ll also offer early morning yoga and meditation at 7:00 AM every day. I highly recommend joining to start your day refreshed and peaceful. On Saturday, 11th October, the day before the wedding, we will be taking a full-day trip to the city of Assisi, a place filled with history, beauty & serenity. It’s a special experience we’d love to share with you! Of course, if you have other plans, you’re free to stay back — just let us know either way. This is not just a wedding — it’s a retreat-style celebration, where you can truly relax, recharge, and take a break from the busy pace of everyday life. We hope you take full advantage of each moment, and return home feeling refreshed, inspired, and full of joy.

Can I get my kids to the wedding?

Yes, of course — children are very welcome to attend the wedding! We kindly ask that you bring them to the early morning meditations only if they’re able to stay completely quiet and follow the guidance, as it helps keep the space peaceful for everyone. They are absolutely welcome to join us on the Saturday visit to Assisi as well. If your child has any dietary restrictions or if there’s anything we can do to make your stay more comfortable, please don’t hesitate to let us know — we’re happy to help!

Is there anything I should know about the wedding venue or what's expected while I'm there?
Answer
The wedding is taking place at a peaceful spiritual retreat, so there are just a few things to keep in mind to respect the space. Alcohol, smoking, and any kind of drugs aren't allowed within the premises. If you'd like to have a smoke, you're welcome to step outside—just across the road from the premises is fine. Since it's a quiet, reflective place, loud music and anything that could disturb the calm atmosphere and scantity are best avoided. Eating and drinking inside the temple isn’t allowed. In case you would like to meditate, you are are free to join, please make sure that you arrive at least 5 minutes before the meditation starts. The schedule for daily meditations are available at the reception. If there's a meditation session already going on, we ask that you only enter if you can do so very quietly, like a cat, without disturbing anyone. The long meditations are (45 to 90 mins) held every mornings and evenings, and they aren’t guided. I would highly recommend you join the early-bird yoga and meditations that are guided.
