The first time we met IN PERSON, I was training a service dog in the hopsital in Regina, and this ridiculously handsome man and his co-worker were bringing in a patient. I knew who he was from facebook, as we occasionally chatted. But in person, he was perfect! We talked for a few minutes and I had to find a way to keep the convo going, so.. I asked if I could 'train the dog in the ambulance, for you know...an emergency" Fast forward a few months, and many messages later and we started what would be a whirlwind romance that has proved to to be the best decision both of us have ever made. I am so happy I had the courage to talk to you that day in the hospital, and even happier that a few months later you invited me for a movie...because here we are.
Such is the way of our relationship... nothing goes according to plan, and always turns out perfectly for US. Nick had planned a really nice supper with family and friends in Regina for my birthday, I of course being me... changed our plans last minute, I wanted to do a romantic night at a hotel.... so he changed plans, and re-planned his surprise with the Chef, (he was to bring out the ring with our meal during supper at the restaurant), buuuuuut, we got to the hotel, booked our night swim, only to find out the rooftop pool was full all night, so we said, why spend that kind of money to sit in a room all night, when we can just go home... once again foiling his plans. So we leave to go home, and as we are driving (out of town) he found a spot with a beautiful view, pulled over, and while shaking, asked me to be his wife. It was perfect. and of course I SAID YES.
