Food Carts

Portland is famous for it's food carts. Some of the most delicious, creative and often authentic food in town can be found at a food cart. Most of them are located in "pods"; several food carts all located in one area. These pods are spread throughout the city so they are easy to find. When people ask us where to eat in Portland, we almost always recommend finding some food carts and eating whatever piques your interest. 10 Barrel Brewing

A great place to start an epic pub crawl; Rogue is right across the street and there are numerous other great brew pubs in the area!

McMenamins Kennedy School

We recommend visiting any of the McMenamins locations! But if we had to choose one to recommend, this would be the one! *Bill highly recommends the Tots

Ecliptic Brewing

Another great place to start a pub crawl, but on the east side of the river! Ecliptic has inventive and delicious food, and incredible beer. There are numerous other great breweries in the area as well!

Local hand crafted gifts and art, plus amazing food! Also great place to people watch and see the many quirks of the people of Portland.

Oregon Zoo

Tillamook Forest Center

The Tillamook Forest is one of our favorite places in the state. It's also where we had our first camping trip together. The forestry center is a fun place to stop halfway between Portland and the Oregon coast!

Tillamook Cheese Factory Visitor's Center

Free cheese samples, the world's best ice cream, incredible grilled cheese sandwiches and every cheese based knick knack you can imagine. One of Sheena's favorite places in the world.

Ecola State Park

This was our first beach date, and where she said yes! Goonie's fans might recognize the view as well!

Salt & Straw

Sheena once had a scoop of s'mores ice cream here that had a swirl of foie gras in it. She loved it! She may not have realized what foie gras was, but she definitely loved the ice cream! You will get some of the most creative ice creams ever here!

Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum

See the Spruce Goose AND slide down some water slides!

Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area

Truly one of the most Beautiful stretches of land in the entire country. Take a trip out to Hood River and loop back to Portland via the Fruit Loop, through Mt. Hood National Forest.

Astoria

"Heeey yoooou guuuuys!!" Astoria has been going through somewhat of a renaissance and has turned into a great town to visit. We spent the weekend before we got engaged exploring the town and we absolutely love it! Another great stop for any movie fans; The Goonies, Kindergarten Cop and Short Circuit were all filmed here!

Oak Knoll Winery

Just one of the many wonderful wineries in the area. Check out the Williamette Valley for even more great wineries!
