In February 2022, Corey and Jen both went out on a limb and decided to go speed dating at a local brewery. The two of them sat through hours of uncomfortable dates and when the organizer finally told everyone to go to the bar, the two started talking one-on-one. Jen noticed Corey's phone background (Brand New's Deja Entendu album cover) and the sparks flew. As the days went on the two became inseparable. Their love for breweries and concerts quickly connected them and drew them closer together.
