MLK and mimosa weekend

How we met...

We met the way most couples do these days online via the Bumble app. For Alexa, Michael was the first and last date she went out with on the app. For Michael, he had to go through a few dates before finding his perfect match. Michael suggested an evening spent in a hot tub with some red wine for the first date; Alexa didn't reply... A few days later he suggested a more casual meet up for brunch in Old Town Scottsdale on MLK day. Over the next few hours we shared our love of travel, the outdoors and memories spent in Avalon/Stone Harbor, NJ. Both growing up in PA and in NJ during the summers, we were surprised to never had met before nor have any friends in common at Penn State or in Philly. Instead we both had to move across the country to AZ to meet for the first time. Many mimosas and a few hours later, we decided to walk home to our apartment buildings to find they were right next to another! A few days later we hiked Camelback Mountain to see the sunset and hiked down by moonlight. We deleted our bumble apps the next day and rest is history plus a bunch of moves, hikes and adventures over the past 5 and a half years!

4/3/21 wedding in Park City

Our 4/3/21 "countdown" wedding was originally planned to be our day in Park City, Utah, however with COVID a lot of plans have changed this past year or so. With a vaccine unavailable at the time, we decided it was best and the safest decision to cancel the small event. We had chosen Park City as this town meant a lot to us and holds a lot of special memories with Michael's mom Michelle and her husband Bill who lived here for many years.
