It all started at Punahou Carnival 2007 (our sophomore year of high school). Two of our best friends had us meet up - only to ditch us immediately after! So for our first time hanging out we wandered campus, played a bunch of carnival games, and used all of Becca's ride tickets on the Zipper and Pharaoh's Fury. From then on things progressed from AOL instant messaging to falling asleep on the phone together and from cafeteria lunch breaks to dinner & movie dates. Shane finally mustered up the courage to ask Becca to be his girlfriend on 03.08.07 and we've been together ever since!

After 14+ years of dating... Shane caught Becca 100% by surprise when he proposed during a rare atmospheric river storm in San Francisco. Shane's original plan of playing a round of golf and proposing at sunset on the beach was now cancelled and he had to scramble to pull off a tree-lit sidewalk proposal in the rain at Ghirardelli Square.
