This brewery is further away but much more of a "local" vibe than some of the busier spots in the area. Great beer!

Good wine and countryside. Also a scenic drive.
Carter Mountain Orchard
Apple picking, pumpkin patch, cider, donuts and a gift shop! Great views of Charlottesville.
Kardinal Hall
Want a brewery but don't want to drive? This one is in the center of town and has bocce and other games outside.
Monticello
Home to Thomas Jefferson (third President, author of the Declaration of Independence and founder of the University of Virginia). A National Historic Landmark and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Charlottesville loves TJ!
James Monroe's Highland
The home of James Monroe (fifth President), adjacent to Monticello. Also Peter & Cheryl Opere's wedding venue!
The Lawn
The lawn is the heart of the University of Virginia and the Rotunda is the most iconic building on grounds.
Humpback Rock
This hike is steep but less than a mile up and down. It's part of the Blue Ridge Parkway with gorgeous views at the top! We have taken all of our visitors on this hike.
Turk Mountain Trailhead
Scenic hike in Shenandoah National Park.
Sugar Hollow Trail to Blue Hole
This is a popular hikes for locals, although it might be better for summer when it's warm enough to jump in.

Drive through Shenandoah National Park. Views without the hike.
Blue Ridge Parkway North Entrance
Turn in the opposite direction of Skyline Drive and you’ll find the start of the Blue Ridge Parkway at Rockfish Gap.
Mountain Lake Lodge
