Where should I park?

Answer

There will be some parking at the Nesseth Home. If you can manage a short walk, there is additional parking around the corner at South Colby Elementary.

Will the ceremony/reception be outdoors?

Answer

Yes! Both will be outdoors in the backyard. Expect temperatures between 55–70°F. Rain is possible (this is Washington, after all), so bring layers and consider weather-friendly shoes.

Where should I stay?

Answer

If coming from out of the area, there are two hotels in Port Orchard. There are additional hotels a bit further away in Bremerton, close to the Seattle Ferry.

What’s the dress code?

Answer

Dressy casual/semi-formal. Think “wedding nice” but also “backyard practical.” Bring a sweater or jacket—it can get chilly in late September evenings.

Should I wear heels?

Answer

If you want! But note that the ground is grass and possibly uneven. Wedges, block heels, or flats may be more comfortable.
