It's a classic case of boy meets girl... in a bar... at Neon Moon in the Fort Worth Stockyards... He was in town from Enid, OK visiting friends, and she was having a girls night out. The DJ announced for the THIRD time, 'last call!'. She couldn't help but laugh when he waltzed up to her and literally stole the words right out of her head, "Geez, how many 'LAST calls' are there?". Phone numbers were exchanged that night, and they parted ways. Phil played coy and unphased initially, however Meg saw right through his facade. A big giveaway was when he made the trip back to Dallas just a few short weeks later to 'visit friends and maybe grab dinner together?'. As we know, the rest is history! Phil graduated from pilot training in October of 2016, and the next month he traded in Oklahoma for Omaha, Nebraska. At that point, their long-distance relationship was kinda getting old for them. Plus, Phil reaaally missed her cooking. So Meg and Maxcie joined Phil in Omaha during the summer of 2017. It was the best decision she ever made until.. The last night before ringing in the 2020 New Year rolled around, and they were getting ready to meet up with friends for the evening. Meg naturally suggested cute pictures in front of the Christmas tree and Phil, uncharacteristically obliged. Little did she know, Phil had hidden his GoPro and got the whole proposal on video! It's been her new favorite clip to watch on repeat ever since, and the easiest 'yes' she's ever said. They have been SO fortunate in being able to travel and explore during their relationship, so it's only natural that a destination wedding is up next! They are thrilled and excited to be able to celebrate with loved ones in paradise.
