The Beaches
When in Florida, go to the beach! There are many public beach access points in Jacksonville Beach. Enjoy soaking up the warm sun or strolling along the beach looking for shells. You may just find some sharks’ teeth as well!
Whit’s Frozen Custard
One of our favorite Jacksonville treats! There are a few locations within the area. We both like to get the Whitser. Our favorites are the Cookies ‘n’ Crème and the Grasshopper. Ben also loves Penguin Tracks.
Intuition Ale Works
This brewery is near the hotel, has a rooftop and a great selection of beer! What more do you need!
Wicked Barley Brewing Company
"Naughty Ales for Noble Souls" The brewery has a full service restaurant with a gastropub style kitchen and tap room with multiple TVs, covered patio, a pet friendly waterfront beer garden, and a boat dock! A great place to relax for the afternoon. We highly recommend the cheese curds. They are amazing!
Maple Street Biscuit Company
You may have seen Maple Street in other major southern cities, but you probably did not know it was actually started here in Jacksonville! You can never go wrong with The Five and Dime or The Sticky Maple. So grab a Bloody Mary or mimosa and enjoy the best biscuit breakfasts around.
Metro Diner
Locally started breakfast spot that is sure to hit the spot whether you are just in the mood for a good diner breakfast or hung over from the night before. We recommend the pancakes and chicken and waffles. **This location cannot serve alcohol
St Johns Town Center
Shopping central! There are also many restaurants surrounding which can make for a nice shopping break or dinner.
