Here come the Tuckers!

Our story isn't quite what either of us expected, but it's better than we both could've ever dreamed of. Starting in 2003, my family attended the church Shayne's parents have been pastoring for nearly 30 years now. At eight years old, I knew of Shayne, but nothing more than him being one of the pastor's sons. As teenagers, we were in youth group together and were not friends at all. I would go on to be a missionary and Shayne would go on to attend a university. Years later, we had both relocated back to Sacramento. I began volunteering for a ministry Shayne was leading at the time. During this time, we were simply good friends, but nothing more. Around this time I had gotten a job working for the office of the the same church we had attended since childhood. Later on, Shayne became the youth pastor for this church, as I was still working in the office. In February of 2023, Shayne very nervously asked me on our first date at my desk in the office. Ever since that date, we knew God was doing something special. It was amazing that after 13 years of knowing each other, God was bringing us together. Throughout our relationship, our love has grown and grown. We have fallen in love with every part of each other and both deeply desire to live our lives for the Lord and serve in His kingdom together. We cannot wait to continue to do that as husband and wife. On October 25, 2024, Shayne asked me to marry him in a surprise proposal. It was such a sweet and special time with our families. We have been joyously and excitedly planning the wedding of our dreams and can't wait to share it with our dear friends and family, near and far.
