What does the dress code “beach formal” entail?

Answer

For her: Flowy dress or skirt in light colors or patterns. Length is up to personal preference. No white. For him: Khaki pants or shorts, in any color, with a button up shirt. Light colors or patterns. No white.

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

We are going to provide some alcohol, but please bring your preferred drinks to supplement what we will have or anything specific you will want over the weekend.

Where will we sit during the ceremony?

The ceremony should be short and sweet so we will not be providing chairs. If you need/want to sit, please bring your own chair.

Are there accommodations in place?

Everyone is welcome to stay Friday night through Sunday night at a cost of $200 per person. Check-in tine is 4pm on Friday and you must be out by 10am on Monday. If you wish to arrange your own place to stay, we recommend using Airbnb as there are no hotels on the island.

We do have a registry linked on the “registry” tab, but please do not feel obligated, your presence for our special day is more than enough!

How long is the travel?

Answer

There are two travel options; Driving should take approximately 7.5 hours from Hagerstown. Hagerstown airport also offers direct flights to Myrtle Beach airport which is approximately 1 hour from Oak Island.
