The Historic Jasmine Plantation dates back to 1680 when George Morris, a member of the Virginia House of Burgesses, settled the then 1,100 acre property. The manor house was built in 1750 and was used as a headquarters for the Revolutionary Army in the fall of 1779. Don and Eileen Smith, the owners, purchased the plantation in 2005 and completed extensive renovations to make it the destination venue that it is today.
