Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The attire is smart casual - sport coats are encouraged, ties are optional. For women, please consider wearing dresses, jumpsuits, or slacks with blouses. We would love for everyone to take this opportunity to dress up and celebrate!

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

The average high in Virginia Beach this time of year is between 63F and 71F. The average low temperature is between 46F and 54F. April generally sees moderate precipitation.

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be held at the Delta Hotels Virginia Beach Waterfront (2800 Shore Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23451).

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place on the beach behind the hotel. There will be a walkway provided to reach the chairs, but your chair will be in the sand, so please plan your shoes accordingly.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Help us get the party started as scheduled! We recommend that you arrive by 4:30 pm to make sure everyone is seated on time.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list due to the size of our reception hall. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

Can I bring my child?

Answer

Due to capacity limits, we are unable to accommodate children outside of family. If your invitation did not include family members, please arrange childcare for the celebration.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking a few photos with family. Guests can head straight to the Sunset Deck for the cocktail hour, where we will be serving finger foods and beverages from the open bar. A seated dinner and reception will follow the cocktail hour.

How do I get to the wedding venue? Is there parking?

Answer

For those who are not staying at the Delta Hotel, free parking is available onsite for the day: there is a lot directly in front of the hotel and up one level outside on both sides of the hotel. Please do not park in the parking garage if you are not a guest of the hotel. Valet is also available if you prefer. However, we encourage anyone who is enjoying the open bar service to consider using a ride share. The address of the hotel is: 2800 Shore Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23451.

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

There is a hotel block reserved for our guests at the Delta Hotel. You can click on the “Hotel Block” tab at the top of this page to book your hotel room online. You may also call 833.999.0168 and ask for the Horwitz + Mallenbaum Wedding Block.

Question

If I am lodging at the Delta hotel, how much is on-site parking?

Answer

Overnight parking for hotel guests is $20. The usual charge is $30 per night, but our guests receive a $10 discount. Please be sure to confirm that the discount is applied when you check into the hotel.

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony is planned to take place on the beach which is not wheelchair accessible. If needed, seating is available on the back deck with a view of the ceremony.

Will dinner be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

The reception will host a sit-down dinner service. When you RSVP to attend the celebration, you will be asked to select your meal option for the evening. Can I take photos of the ceremony?

Answer

We are asking everyone to be fully present at the ceremony. Please put phones away during the ceremony until the cocktail hour has begun.
