Jolene Hassel

Shay Lynn and Jolene met while at the University of Montana Western in Dillon, MT. They both worked as veterinary assistants at a local veterinary hospital in Dillon. Shay Lynn and Jolene bonded over a love of animals, but specifically horses. They spent many hours together with their horses on the Montana trails. Jolene currently lives and works in Spokane, WA.

Has been Nick’s best friend since they both still had questionable control of their bladders in pre-school. He played blocks with Nick once and the rest was history. He probably still enjoys blocks to this very day.
Brice Lee

Brice is Pete’s amazing girlfriend. Together, they are now starting a new chapter in Chicago with her dog, Moose, and new fish, Moby. Originally from Greenville, SC, she’s adventurous, thoughtful, and full of energy. Shay Lynn gets most of her book recommendations from Brice!

Has been Friends with Nick since kindergarten when they were introduced at the tire swing on the playground, he’s a real one.

Julianna is Nick’s stepsister and the perfect bonus-sister pick, keeping her cool even with the Humble boys in full force. She is genuine and fun to be around. Juliana and Shay Lynn quickly bonded over their shared love of black cats. Juliana recently returned to Virginia after living abroad in Uruguay!

Patrick and Nick have known each other he thinks since first grade, but became close friends in high school, when he, Alex and James began to all hang out as a gang that didn’t really get in trouble.

Alaina is Nick’s sister-in-law through his stepbrother, Connor, and proud mom to Jesse, Nick’s awesome two-year-old nephew. She and Connor met on their first day of college, and the rest is history. Alaina is sharp, thoughtful, and full of grace. Shay Lynn is looking forward to creating many more memories with Alaina, Connor and Jesse in the years to come.

Finn is Shay Lynn’s 8 year old nephew. He lives in Los Angeles with his parents, Emily and Brooks. His best bud is his doggie “brother,” Mowgli. Finn loves running cross-country, flag-football, singing, playing the drums and piano, and playing at the beach. He is super excited to be a part of this wedding with his Auntie Shay and Pickle Nick!
