This wasn't just any Bumble match though. Sean had downloaded the app as a dare from his roommates about a week and a half before the match. Shay had been swiping for months and was to the point where she had almost given up on the dating apps. Little did she know, the man who's first Bumble picture was of him standing in a bathtub full of Kool-Aid wearing a 'Team Jesus' shirt was going to be the love of her life! Shay and Sean immediately hit it off. They talked for days over text, having deep, meaningful conversations. Shay was smitten when Sean constantly pushed her to read her Bible (which was a forgotten habit) and asked how he could pray for her. Sean knew that she was the one only a few days after talking through the phone, and deleted his Bumble profile for good. Shortly after they met, they realized that they were in overlapping friend circles, but somehow had never met before! Sean and Shay's first date was on December 4, 2022 at the Moscow Alehouse. They ate burgers and talked for THREE HOURS! They just wanted to keep talking and learning more about each other. Sean and Shay went on three more dates before they made it official when Sean asked Shay to be his girlfriend in front of a crackling YouTube fireplace. The next six months were full of growing to know and love each other, meeting each others' families, and pushing each other closer to the Lord. Sean and Shay knew that God had created them for each other to have and to hold. On June 3, 2023 Sean proposed to Shay at Tapped, their favorite restaurant! Now, Sean and Shay are enjoying the engagement period- getting to know each other even more and learning about the ways that God calls them to live as husband and wife. They are so excited to celebrate with you all at either the wedding or Twin Falls reception! They love you all!
