What time can I come to the venue for the wedding?
Answer
Please plan to be there by 3:30pm on Sunday, October 25th, 2027. We rather you be too early than late! There will be appetizers and an area to socialize before the ceremony starts at 4:00pm.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Answer
Our Wedding will be outdoors, but the venue has a large wooden canopy where the reception will be held. We will have space heaters in case it gets cold! (And yes we have a back up plan for rain!)

What should the guests wear?
Answer
Please dress in Formal Attire, we want to see you all dressed up with us! We ask that you try to wear fall colors and neutral tones, and please refrain from bright/neon colors or all white. We want everyone to be comfortable more than anything, though!

how do I get to and from the wedding venue?
Answer
The address is: The Legacy at Gregory Downs 5614 NC-205, Marshville, North Carolina 28103. There will be a sign saying "The Legacy at Gregory Downs" and a long gravel road to drive down with plenty of parking! So please feel welcome to drive there in the comfort of your own cars, and there will be ample parking with lighting as well :)

Please RSVP on this website by August 3rd, 2026! We need this to plan for seating of all our guests as well as food so everyone is well fed :)

can I bring a plus-one?
Answer
We have limited space and would like to keep our Wedding more private, but if there is someone you would really like to bring with you, please message Shaylyn (980-288-0078) or Aleks (704-993-1979) and ask if there is any room for you to bring a guest! If you choose to request a plus-one, please understand we may not have enough room and please ask us by the RSVP deadline on August 3rd, 2026.

What will we be having for dinner at the wedding?
Answer
We are having Russian homestyle catering with a wide variety of dishes. There will definitely be something for everyone, even our picky eaters! We plan on having more plain and simple dishes as well as traditional foods. It will be set up in a self-serve format so you can pick what you want to have on your plate!

What if I have food allergies?
Answer
If you have any kind of anaphylactic reactions to food, you should always have an epi-pen with you! However, we will have all the dishes labeled. If you aren't sure if you can have something, you can ask the catering chefs what they used in the dishes as well! If you are really worried about an allergy or have a major restriction, reach out to Shaylyn (980-288-0078) and we can figure something out!

Are kids allowed?
Answer
We believe children are nothing but bundles of joy and would love for you to bring your kids; just please remember to RSVP for them! However, if YOU wan to relax at the wedding, get a babysitter for the night! There won't be anyone there to watch the kids for you and they will be your responsibility to watch over. It is an outdoor venue with a pond and woods, so there will need to be someone with them if they want to play. We trust that you can decide if you wan to bring your kids or not, just keep in mind you will have to watch them the whole night and the venue asks no children be left unattended at any point for safety. Please include your children when you RSVP so we can have enough food for them and make sure they have a seat assigned as well!
