Where is the ceremony being held?
Answer
Our ceremony will be held in the York Room at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia.
Question
What time should I arrive?
Answer
Doors to the event will open at 2:00pm, so please arrive at, or slightly before that time. If arriving earlier, please enjoy a cocktail at the gorgeous lobby bar while you wait!

Is there assigned seating? Or can we sit anywhere?
Answer
Ceremony: Please feel free to sit wherever you like, with whomever you like! Reception: Please sit at your assigned seats for dinner service, but we encourage you to mingle and move around before and after!

Can I take photos during the ceremony, or is it "unplugged"
Answer
Though we won't ban anyone from taking photos on their phones, we ask that if you must that you do so discreetly. Please keep in mind there will be a professional photographer there to take gorgeous photos of our ceremony. All forms of photography are welcomed during the reception!

What time does the reception start?
Answer
Doors will re-open at 5:00pm after a two hour turn-around from ceremony to reception. Once doors re-open, please join us for a cocktail hour prior to dinner service

Is there more information about dinner service?
Answer
Dinner will consist of a beautifully crafted multi-course meal prepared by the talented team at Hawksworth restaurant. Dinner options will be presented and decided upon shortly before dinner service is to begin. There will be vegetarian and celiac-approved options for those who require it. If there are any other dietary restrictions we need to be aware of, please let Thomas or Shaylan know as soon as possible.

Is there an open bar or a cash bar?
Answer
We will be providing an open bar for our reception, including champagne to toast the newlyweds, a variety of beer and wine, hard liquor for mixed drinks, as well as custom cocktails.

Can I bring a plus-one or children?
Answer
We are so excited to celebrate with you! Due to space limitations, we are unable to accommodate additional guests or children. Thank you for understanding, and we can’t wait to share this special day with you.

Will there be dancing during the reception?
Answer
As our venue is limited by its size, there will not be a large dance floor. However, space will be made for a more intimate dancing area should anyone feel so inclined!

What is the best way to get to the venue?
Answer
Transiting is the cheapest and most convenient option as the Rosewood Hotel Georgia is a mere 4 minute walk from both the Granville and Burrard skytrain stations. Using Uber or Taxi is another convenient option. Guests can also drive themselves (if they don't intend on drinking) and park at the hotel or street parking/ parkade (check parkade rates and hours before parking)

What is the parking situation like at the venue?
Answer
Overnight valet parking is $70, including all taxes. In and out privileges are included. Day-use parking is $40 for the first three hours, including all taxes. After that, the overnight valet parking rate will apply. All parking is by valet; no self-parking is available. Valet parking can accommodate vehicles up to 6 feet 6 inches (1.98m).

Should I bring a gift for the newlyweds?
Answer
Gifts are definitely not required but are very appreciated! Thomas and Shaylan would be so grateful for any contribution towards their Honeymoon Fund! (See the "Registry" tab for more information) Please contact Shaylan or Thomas for more information on how to donate to their upcoming honeymoon.
