Shayla and Nathan first knew they meant more to each other in their sophomore year at Phoenix High School... Their friendship began to grow during cross country season and as their friend groups began to merge. By the middle of their sophomore year Shayla and Nathan started dating. Even though they only dated for a few months they knew they had something special...well, Nathan was the first to truly know, it took Shayla a little more time. Although they weren't together for over a year, Shayla and Nathan's relationship never stopped growing as their friendship became stronger through continued good times, not so good times, long cross country and track bus rides, other relationships, many conversations, and Nathan never giving up on Shayla. By the end of their senior cross country season Shayla and Nathan found their way back to each other and five years later here they are! Shayla and Nathan have built a relationship filled with marvel movies, Brooklyn 99, running, dog parenthood, and they are meant to be.
