For years we sat at opposite ends of the conference table without knowing that space was slowly dissolving, bringing us closer together. The universe aligned and provided Good Soil where seeds of love were sealed in preparation for a harvest. This love story was truly meant to be. She's a Princess and I would be her Knight in shinning armor. Her eyes told her story and I heard every word. An angelic voice whispered she would be my wife. I waited patiently to crown her as my Queen. With each passing day our love was cemented, our fairytale romance became reality. We each found that person who enjoyed candle lit dinners, walks in the park, surprise picnics, and sitting under the stars. She was special and I wanted her to understand just how special she was, and as fate would have it she had the same ambitions for me. Her smile changed my life and my arms gave her the comfort she knew existed. There is a difference in saying I love you and expressing that love. It was utterly amazing how we filled each other each day with the love that changed the fabric of who we were. Our journey was so amazing and each day got better and better. The Bible explains, he who finds himself a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord. She is my Good Thing and the Gift of her will forever be treasured. We both understood a seed could not grow in polluted soil. We nurtured our relationship and cultivated our union in Good Soil. A seed planted in fertile soil never dies. There is a place where all your wishes and dreams become a reality. Shayla and I have found that place, and we plan to spend our forever engulfed in a love that happens once in a lifetime. She's the sun that brightens up my day, and I'm the stars that light up her night. The journey to becoming the Backmons has been amazing and the best is yet to come.
