We are thrilled to announce that we officially got married in an intimate ceremony surrounded by our immediate families on August 29, 2020. Even though it has been an uncertain time, we were both certain about our love for each other and couldn't let COVID mask that.It was a challenging decision but we feel it will be the best for us and safer for all of our loved ones. Thank you for being apart of our long distance love story.
We met in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, which is about 350 miles from where we are now. He was working at the University and I had just graduated. We first crossed paths at Hangar for Trivia Night which started our crazy journey. The first date night was of course at Pizza City for the infamous all you can eat pizza and wings. We should have known it was love at first sight or shall we say bite. Unfortunately, we were not able to stay in the same city for long but it helped with our love for travel. Four years later, and we are finally living in the same city.
We decided to travel for the New Year to Charleston, South Carolina. Initially, he had an amazing plan to propose at midnight when the "flip flop" dropped and fireworks were going off while on the beach. After walking 12 miles during the day in an attempt to explore all of Charleston, exhausted was an understatement and making it until midnight seemed impossible. Therefore, he adapted quickly and proposed a few hours before midnight. The beach was empty and the stars were gorgeous! He asked if I would marry him and I said "Are you sure? Of course. YES!" Luckily, we even had some fireworks from locals on the island. Definitely the best way to ring in the New Year. We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our journey with you!
