The Wedding Website of Isabela Jacobsen and Patrick Shay
We highly encourage guests to come earlier than the wedding and plan a week to really enjoy their European vacation. If you rather stay at an Airbnb, there are so many nearby. You can look up Cascais or Estoril to stay in the area. Just please let us know where you are staying when booking. Our ultimate suggestion is to fly in during the weekend before, take a few days to settle and sight-see. Check our recommendation page! If your schedule does not allow that, flying in Tuesday AM, on July 26 would be the latest we recommend so you're not too jet lagged to enjoy festivities!

Flight

Lisboa Airport

You are flying into Lisbon airport. For NY and Boston guests, this will be about an 8 hour flight. There are non-stop flights usually available. We recommend coming during the weekend before and extending your trip, but if you can't, we recommend coming July 26 AM at the latest since you'll need some time to rest after your long flight. From Lisbon to Cascais (wedding area), it'll be around 35 mins by Uber or 40 mins on the train. If you're not planning a few days in Lisbon, we recommend just Ubering straight to your hotel. We suggest using the app, Hopper, to monitor flight prices. They will update you when flight prices drop.

Hotel

Hotel Options

We do not have hotel blocks, but we have a list of recommendations where we hope you'll stay at. Please check our hotel page for hotel options and the link below for more info on hotel location.

Travel Note

Uber

Uber is super easy and low cost in Portugal. We highly recommend! No need to rent a car unless you want to for your vacation.

Travel Note

Passport

Please triple check your passport validity. Your passport should have at least six months of validity if you're traveling internationally. Many countries will deny you entry if your passport isn't valid for at least 6 months after your last day of travel. So, if your passport has less than six months until it expires, it's time to renew!
