This story begins in May of 2019. “Tell him to follow her on Insta and she’ll follow him back.” That’s what Shayla’s friend Ginger told Taylor’s friend Andy to set them up. I guess that’s how set-ups work in the modern dating age! After a lot of casual “get to know you” messages back and forth throughout last year, they finally went on their first date early January 2020. There was an instant connection over their love of music, traveling, good food, and peanut M&Ms being the best. Taylor knew during their second date that he only wanted to date Shayla. That same night, Winnie, Shay's dog, took an instant liking to Taylor. Shay knew then he must be a pretty good guy as Winnie is the best judge of character. Since then, they’ve spent way more time together than they have apart. From hiking, playing tennis, and hanging out with friends, to watching shows, “work dates” with their laptops on the couch, and countless walks with Winnie. 2020 has been a tough year but for Tay and Shay, finding each other and falling in love has made it all worth it. We feel incredibly lucky to have each other and can’t wait to celebrate with all of you!
