The Wedding Website of Shay Welch and Dillon Oliver
Recommended resort for accommodations Loew's Ventana Canyon Resort. It is a 30 minute drive from the wedding venue to resort, but the resort is worth the drive. There is a beautiful pool and spa built into the desert landscape and numerous restaurants and a pool bar. The resort is built into the mountains, near a waterfall, and is absolutely beautiful. A real Sonoran Desert experience! There is a short walk to the waterfall and a longer hiking trail up the mountains right at the resort, and a full-service spa, if you are interested in these amenities. Bride and Groom will be staying at Loew's Ventana Canyon Resort post-wedding, May 15-16. We have a cabana rented for the 15th and would love to hang with everyone by the pool! Flight should be booked into Tucson International Airport (TUS). Flying into Phoenix Sky Harbor is sometimes cheaper, but you will have to travel about 1.5-2 hours into Tucson.

Hotel

AC Hotel Tucson Downtown

151 East Broadway Boulevard, Tucson, AZ 85701

This is the closest hotel. Right across the street from the wedding venue. It is a newer, decent choice with a rooftop pool with city view.

Hotel

Hotel Congress

311 East Congress Street, Tucson, AZ 85701

If you are looking for a historic experience, this hotel built in 1919 was the site of John Dillinger's capture in 1934. With this hotel's long history of tragic events, it is said to be haunted by apparitions of 1920s-1930s era guests. The hotel has a nice restaurant, a tap room, a large patio with nightlife and often hosts concerts or events in it's small theatre or patio.
