We first crossed paths at a Friendsgiving gathering in 2022 — and let’s just say, sparks did not fly. A competitive game of Fish Bowl rubbed Amanda the wrong way. The real magic started in January 2023 during a casual wine night with friends at the Somerset Apartments in Cap Hill. Our brilliant Flower Girl, Stephanie, noticed a crucial detail, Paul lived in this building! Sensing a golden opportunity, she engineered a plan to barge into his apartment and hijack his Cards Against Humanity game. We all proceeded to play through the night. This time, Paul's love for games won Amanda over. Fast forward to our first date a few weeks later on Valentine’s Day (yes, he went big early), and the rest was history. He sealed the deal by pulling off the ultimate surprise. He proposed the day before Amanda’s birthday at her parents’ house in Florida. Of course, Steph was there to keep Amanda's parents in line and to film the whole thing when they became distracted by a lawn ornament. We can't wait to celebrate our unexpectedly perfect beginning with all of you!
