FAQs

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

You can RSVP via our wedding website. Simply click on the RSVP tab, enter your name, and indicate your attendance.

Question

What is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by Friday 27th March 2026 to ensure we can accommodate everyone comfortably.

Question

Can I change my RSVP?

Answer

If you need to modify your RSVP, you can do so by using the Edit RSVP option on this website, or email Andrea directly at andreajaneshaw@gmail.com.

Question

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving at the ceremony venue around 30 minutes ahead of the ceremony start time to ensure you have enough time to make your way to the ceremony space and find a seat.

Question

Will there be transport between the venues?

Answer

There is a short 10-15 minute drive between our ceremony and reception venues. Guest transport will be provided between the venues, leaving the Ulster Museum at approximately 4:30pm.

Question

Is there parking available near your wedding venue(s)?

Answer

For guests who may be driving to the event, on-street parking is available near the Ulster Museum. Overnight parking is available in the Saint Anne's Square car park, which is a five minute walk from the reception venue and a short drive from the ceremony venue.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We’re having an unplugged ceremony, so we kindly ask guests to keep phones and cameras tucked away until after. Thank you!

Question

What's the wedding dress code?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to dress in cocktail attire. For women: Cocktail or occasion dresses, dressy jumpsuits and separates. For men: Shirts with suits or blazers and trousers. Ties are welcome but optional. Please avoid jeans, trainers, and very casual clothing.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

If your invite says “and guest”, yes! Otherwise, due to limited venue space, we can only accommodate those formally invited on your wedding invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

Regrettably due to number restrictions we will not be able to accommodate any children.

Question

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

Answer

We'll be serving cake during the post-ceremony drinks reception, followed by a sit-down dinner with a choice of starter, main and dessert. We will also have evening food for those attending the late-night festivities.

Question

What menu options are there for people with dietary restrictions?

Answer

When you RSVP, please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions, and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.

Question

Is there a wedding registry?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is what matters most to us. However, if you would like to give a gift, our home is already full of love, laughter and furniture, so we would greatly appreciate a contribution towards a piece of art for our home and our honeymoon.

Question

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Answer

If you would like to honour us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home at 8 Oakfield Park Close, Newtownabbey, BT37 0AD. There will also be a wedding card box at our reception and we can provide bank details if preferred, just text or email one of us!

Question

I still have questions—who should I contact?

Answer

Feel free to email Andrea at andreajaneshaw@gmail.com - we’re happy to help!
