David moved to Colorado from his hometown of Allen, Texas in 2019 after Linz made her move to Colorado at the end of 2017, far from her hometown in Lafayette, Louisiana. Working in a busy Apple Store in Denver, we didn't have much time to get to know each other apart from coworkers. A mutual friend and coworker asked Linz to meet up at a Cherry Cricket after work for burgers and beers, letting her know that the new guy, David was also joining. The 3 of us had a great dinner laughing, talking and getting to know each other. Although we didn't exchange numbers to hang out that day... David came into work on one of his days off later the next week acting like he had something to pick up in store, only to ask Linz if it was okay to have her number. For our very first hang out together, we went on a hike in Roxborough Park on a beautiful summer day. Although David ended up with a terrible sunburn on the back of his legs, we had a super fun (first of many) day exploring nature together. We had our first "official" date on 4th of July the summer of 2019 at Joyride Brewery, overlooking Sloan's Lake in Denver, going to a party together after our date. As the story goes... Riley and Rosco adopted David for their own and on April 30th, 2024 on the "last chance section" of Endler's Beach in Redwoods Forest...David asked Linz to spend forever together.
