David and Shawnitta met at a party hosted by a mutual friend. Neither of them had known each other prior, despite growing up nearby. Once the party concluded, Shawnitta was in need of an emergency ride home. The original driver was predisposed so David offered to take her home. They talked and talked and talked the entire ride (missing several exits). When they finally arrived at their destination Shawnitta’s grandmother exited the home and loudly exclaimed “Is that your boyfriend?!”. They chuckled and Shawnitta explained that they had just met that night. Then, after finally reaching their destination, they exchanged information and have been inseparable ever since.
