We're so excited to celebrate with you!!!

We met at a Mexican restaurant called La Cantina Grill on a Tuesday evening after work. We had been talking on the phone for a couple months, and Kendrict knew that I had recently become single and hadn't dated in a very long time. He wanted to meet with me to make sure that I was prepared for the dating world. Neither of us thought the date would yield anything more than a stronger friendship, until our eyes locked. It was over from the moment we saw each other. Kendrict did not see me approaching, as I was a couple minutes late (typical of me). I called his name and when he glanced up at me, it was truly electric, there was a moment of realization for both of us in that moment that this would lead to much more than a friendship. It was so overwhelming, he was speechless and I had to excuse myself to the ladies room to gather myself. We ended the evening at a jazz bar nearby where they had live jazz and great ambiance. Kendrict asked me on two other dates that same week. We went to the Garfield Park Conservatory on Thursday, and bowling that Friday (where he learned about my competitive side). While we were at the Conservatory for our second date, a complete stranger asked if she could take a picture of us because we "looked so in love" and she wanted us to see what she saw. Kendrict hesitantly gave her his phone, but her pictures of us were absolutely beautiful. We looked and felt as if we had known each other forever! Kendrict sent me a collage of the pictures from our first three dates and I knew when I saw those pictures that I was looking at my future husband! I will admit that I was ambitious in praying to God that I would meet someone who loved me like God loves me, who was tall, dark, handsome, loved God, his family and who had a good job soon, but God exceeded my expectations and I cannot praise him enough! Single ladies-don't give up, but Keep God in it! Married ladies-thank you for inspiring me- also Keep God in it!
