If your invitation says “and Guest” or your partner's name, then yes. If not, unfortunately we will have to insist that it's just you. Due to the capacity of the venue, space is very limited.
We love the kids, but we want our wedding to be an adults-only celebratory affair. As a result, we are requesting that no kids under 21 years old attend the ceremony.
We ask that you send in your RSVP by Friday, August 23rd. You can mail back the RSVP card included with your invitation, however, if possible we prefer that you RSVP online.
Semi-formal can mean a lot of things, but for women we would say a dress or a pants suit, and for men a dark suit with a dress shirt. When in doubt, we advise to follow the advice given here: https://www.thespruce.com/semi-formal-attire-guidelines-1216504 We also ask that you avoid wearing white or marigold to the ceremony and reception.
The Renaissance Midtown Hotel is located a block away from the Biltmore Ballrooms, and is very easy to walk from/to. Uber and Lyft are also good options for those who are staying further away or are less mobile as parking at the venue is limited.
We ask that no one take pictures at the ceremony in order to allow the professional photographer to get the best shots of the room. However, after the ceremony we encourage guests to take pictures and post them to their social media channels with our wedding hashtag #MeetTheMcPhersons so we can keep track of all of your pictures.
The reception will be catered with southern fare, so come with an appetite. There will also be an open bar so we encourage you all to Uber or Lyft so you can enjoy yourselves.
