FAQs

The Wedding Website of Victoria Wolfe and Shawn Kranitz
A couple of tree huggers
Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please let us know ASAP if you are unable to attend or do not plan to bring a plus one. We are hosting in Vic's parent's backyard, so space is limited and we would love to be able to open this up to more close friends.

Question

What is a kickback? Why isn't this a wedding? What is happening?

Answer

We're getting married on February 10, 2025 with immediate family present. In October we want to celebrate with you. Since we will be having the ceremony earlier in the year we want to skip the more formal parts and just party. A kickback is a casual party, LIKE ONE MIGHT HAVE IN THEIR PARENT'S BACKYARD!? That doesn't mean this party will be completely casual. Shawn and Vic will be dressing up (see dress code FAQ), we will be making sure everyone is well fed and cared for, and we will have some common wedding party activities planned.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Come as you're most comfy! If that's dressed up (Shawn and Vic will be semi-formal), then that's great. If it's your nicest flannel, that's great too. Just come in what makes you most joyful. The venue is Vic's parent's backyard, which is a mix of concrete and grass. Please keep this in mind when choosing footwear as heels may not be ideal.

Question

What is the venue?

Answer

We are hosting in Vic's parent's backyard in Studio City, CA.

Question

What time is the event?

Answer

The event timing is not quite set yet, please just keep the day available :)

Question

How can I let you know my dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please let us know when you RSVP. We want everyone to be well fed and enjoy themselves.

Question

What are the accessibility options for the venue?

Answer

There is a ~80 foot driveway that gradually slopes up and leads into the backyard. Half of the backyard is concrete paved, and the other half is grass. We will most likely be splitting this event into daytime and nighttime portions, and plan to have more formal tables and chairs set up during the day and transitioning to mostly cocktail tables at night. We would be happy to make sure there is a comfortable place set up for you at any time though, so please let us know your needs. Not all disabilities are visible--please reach out and let us know what we can do to get you here and make sure you are comfortable.

Question

Why are you asking people to play songs on the RSVP?

Answer

We have so many talented friends and family. We plan to set up a small stage in the backyard to let folks play a couple songs throughout the day. We would love for you to join! Let us know so we can add you to the set list.

Question

Will this be a family friendly kickback?

Answer

Yes, and we would love for you to bring your whole family. We will most likely be splitting this event into daytime and nighttime portions, so if you have little ones that have a bedtime, or don't like to stay up late yourself, we will make sure we can still celebrate with you. More to come on that later!

Question

Are pets allowed?

Answer

No, please keep all pets at home. If you plan to bring a service animal please let us know. Fig will be in attendance.

Question

I have an unanswered question...

Answer

Some of us (ehem, Vic) understand the need for more info to quell anxiety. Send us your additional questions so we can add them to the FAQ page: victoriarosewolfe@gmail.com, kranitz.shawn@gmail.com More on parking, accommodation suggestions, etc. to come.
